We would like to invite you to submit paper proposals to Working Group 32 "International Studies, Area Studies and Globalization" at the 16th Spanish Sociology Congress (FES).

WG32 will focus on "Transformations of the liberal international order in the context of the crisis of globalization". We particularly welcome empirical and theoretical contributions that analyse the different expressions of the current structural crisis and their impacts on global capitalism, including topics such as transnational socio-political processes, regional studies, migration, labour and inequality, coloniality and power, global capitalism, extractivism, environment, new right-wing movements and political representation.

The deadline for submissions (oral presentations or posters) will be from 19 January to 8 March 2026.

Submissions must be made through the online application available on the FES congress website.
